Biography

Margie L. Stevens, PhD, CRC, is the research program coordinator for Project EMPOWER (Engaging Medicine Providers On Ways to Enhance Recovery) at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville (UofSCSOMG). She is also a certified rehabilitation counselor and has a PhD in educational and psychological research. Her research background includes addiction, Cognitive Psychology, educational evaluation, school climate, and policy change. In her role as research program coordinator, she works closely with the Project Director, the Course Director at Clemson University School of Nursing, and the Course Director at the UofSCSOMG to implement the Medication Assisted Treatment training course with medical and nurse practitioner students.
