Emily Blewitt, LISW-CP CACI, attended both undergraduate and graduate school at Springfield College in Springfield, MA where she graduated with her Master’s in Social Work. Ms. Blewitt initially began working with adolescents with substance use disorders and family conflict while working in an acute inpatient setting for females in Waterbury, CT. From there she transferred positions to the Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) program where she focused on treating clients and their families who have trauma, substance use disorders, family conflict, and gang involvement among other needs. She continued to pursue her interest in addiction when she moved to Conway, SC in 2014 starting to work at Shoreline Behavioral Health Services. Ms. Blewitt initially worked as a clinical counselor and DSS Liaison aiding to implement the DSS Liaison position throughout the state and continuing to merge her interests of addiction and family services. Ms. Blewitt is currently a clinical supervisor focusing half of her time on clinical treatment services in Shoreline’s outpatient setting, and supervising peer recovery coaches in the MUSC/ED project at Tidelands Health and Grand Strand Medical. Ms. Blewitt is currently a licensed independent social worker in clinical practice (LISW-CP) and certified addictions counselor I (CACI) through the State of South Carolina.
