Biography
Ashleigh Thompson is native to South Carolina. In March of 2019 she was part of the first women’s cohort to become Certified Peer Support Specialist’s within the prison system. Upon her release in July of 2019 she was motivated to find employment as a Certified Peer Support Specialist and in October of 2019 she was hired by Westview Behavioral Health in Newberry, SC. Being a part of the Peer Support Specialist Program has been one the best experiences of her life. It has helped her to build a strong foundation for her own recovery and allows her to share her own experience, strength, and hope to help others still suffering from addiction. She has been in recovery for two years and is so grateful for her life today.
