Improving Treatment Access and Needs of Front-Line Providers

This talk with describe a series of initiatives undertaken by MUSC in collaboration with DAODAS to improve the treatment of opioid use disorders throughout the state. These initiatives include academic detailing, MAT training, MAT delivery via telehealth and an ECHO network for on-going training and case discussion. In addition, an initiative focused on SBIRT and MAT initiation in emergency rooms and for patients with opioid use disorders who are hospitalized on general medical services will be described. Data on results of these initiatives to date will be presented.
